This thing is a god's send! It put's trying to use a sound card midi interface to shame! The pickup time it takes to communicate from keyboard to the music program is FAST! I use this to produce music with sonar, fruity loops, and many other synth programs and NONE have a single problem using the usb midi interface. The keyboards I use are Yamaha, Korg, and Roland and all keyboards work flawlessly with this.

I use the Uno to control my Powerbook G4 in my live rig. No false advertising here. This thing does what it says.

Please note, the inability to properly decode certain MIDI messages sent from Yamaha synths IS NOT EXCLUSIVE TO THE UNO. I've used most top of the line MIDI systems; and all have at least a few problems with Motif series.

This is a safe and relatively inexpensive buy.

did not work with yamaha keyboard
heres what an m-audio technician said

"Certain Evolution based MIDI I/O devices (including the Uno, UC33e, X-Session, Keystation Pro 88, and Ozonic) have known issues with certain Yamaha keyboards. The issue has to do with the way some Yamaha keyboards send Active Sensing. This incompatibility manifests itself in the form of MIDI message irregularities."
