Don't break a String...or else!
By John-hansVerified Reviewer from Santa Fe on 6/10/2008
Pros:
Fun To Play, Love the SD Feature
Cons:
Cannot replace 1 string, Poor Quality Craftsmanship
Describe Yourself:
Experienced
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Beware! If you break a string....try to figure out how to replace it. It will be a marathon process. All 6 strings have to be loosened and three screws have to come off....it is a living hell to replace a string. I love this student guitar but had to return the two I bought when I discovered the pain of string replacement. Living in fear of breaking a string is not a fun way to play a guitar. Nutz! I love the SD card feature for students. When they get this feature fixed it will be a fine student guitar. Until then....don't touch it...even for[$]. Sorry about that.

I don't recommend the product. I had to replace twice in less than a months. It stopped working after a couple of days and the second one did not last too long as well.
Maybe I just had bad luck, but I wouldn't buy one again.

As an employee of Radioshack I spent some time with this guitar. I found it fun, knowing I could record on an SD card. The burswood strings are worthless but the feel of the guitar is solid. The sound is slightly above subpar. For the $ no one can really complain. The guitar is at least good for parts if you own a strat or a B.C Rich guitar.
