now i can see why people have a problem with the out put jack but i seemed to have fixed that problem by putting the batteries in. the gutiar feels great a lot better than my last guitar. the tuners are doing good i haven't had any fret buzz. the whammy bar works great. the guitar feels nice and sturdy also. i like it a lot and i haven't had any serious problems. id say it's worth it if you can get one.
Overall the guitar is worth the bucks. Don't like how the sound changes in record mode but sound changes back to any previous amp settings on playback. Example: Set to distortion on amp, recording sounds less distorted, (almost muffled) but plays fully distorted on play back. Great for having fun with. Not one of the best starter guitars but for the price it's a start.
Don't get fooled by the positives reviews on this guitar, you can't trust people who would prefer this one over a fender.
The guitar is sturdy and feels good, the pickups are OK.
The fretbuzz is MASIVE, having a high action and adjusting the neck diminish the problem but the buzz is still terrible, and having a high action makes you play slower in the higher frets.
The sd recording is nice but I wouldn't buy a guitar that sounds bad just for it.
It is a guitar made by electric things manufacters, not musicians.
Its well made tough, I dropped mine and the electronics and knobs were intact
It's ok for practicing two months, then you will grow ears and hear how terrible it is, get a better, more expensive guitar
Now I'm an experienced guitarist so people may think I dont know what im talking about but anyways, the pickups are not good, the action is horrible and the SD recoding...well lets just say its not worth my money. I thought it would be ok for just messing around with but im in the process of reconstructing it.
I felt like learning to play the guitar, and with the SD recording feature and the the low price, I thought that this might be a good deal.
Downside: Instructions are very sparse, the SD recording feature isn't working, and audio output borders on weak or non-existent. Seems difficult to tune.
Plusside: Price, includes an instruction DVD. Guitar feels very solid, though. Maybe once I get a few weeks into it and learn, I'll enjoy it more.
SWEET THIS WAS A GREAT DEAL EXEPT THE STRINGS BREAK
[...] But the guitar plays great, I couldn't be happier, unless I didn't pay so much.
Its a good guitar for the price i got it at, but the software CD came blank. WIndows asked me to burn a new CD when i put it in. The software isn't available online anywhere easy to access either and the instructions dont have a website.
this guitar rocks
I like this guitar but it just be aware you need to have an SD card to record and it is kind of confusin to record.A good thing about is it has great sound. To record you need batteries and sometimes you can lose the top for the slot so it may look like the guitar is fake. But I liked it just a few minor adjustments and it could be perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don?t be afraid to sand the sharp fret edges on the bottom near your hand. Use fine medium and coarse Emory boards.
It?s like an unfinished copy of a fender. Yes you could spend more and get a fender. I?m glad I got this one. The fret buzz is adjustable with the little Allen wrench that comes with it, screw the Allen screws in till the buzz stops there is two for each string at the back/bottom end of the string. Do them both evenly. Then retune the guitar. And on the other end, don?t over tighten any part of the tuner gear or knob but you can adjust that action too including the main nut just be easy and even. The neck is adjustable with the big Allen wrench but mine is fine so I haven?t needed to learn about that but its good that we can if we need to. The recording feature also works like an on of switch, it?s unique to Burswood I love that part, just push the button and turn it off.
And I found my pick fits right in the memory card slot right beside it with no adverse effects. I never loose my pick. Go on line and search adjusting/setup - guitar on u tube. Also search guitar scales on Google and practice them all for a while till you are sick of them and then go, wow I?m getting pretty good.
Mine sounds great, plays great, and I love that it?s helped me to learn what to do to one, and I?ve become more familiar with what I?m doing. I would be afraid to with a more costly guitar.
O yea, get the little Burswood amp too you will love it. Great price and value.

It has good tone, and good pickup. I have had cheap guitars before, and this one sounds much better than those, and at a cheap price. Cheap does not necessarily means low quality. I am quite pleased with it with the workmanship. I would not pay twice to get a Fender. The SD card feature is in no other make and model. If it can playback from the SD card along with a live playing of the guitar, that would be great. But unfortunately, it is one or the other.
I bought this mainly for the recording function, but found the computer software simplistic, and the recording hardware picks up all the buzz and bad feedbacks through the instrument.

The SD card Recorder built in really set this guitar apart from others in it's price class. Great for a beginner, comes with a decent beginner's lesson CD. The original neck had a little fret buzz and the tuning heads were a little shoddy, but because it wasn't all that expensive, a quick run to the music store can fix both of these problems. I replaced the neck with one I bought off ebay for 15 dollars, and replaced the tuning heads with sperzel locking heads I bought from the music store for about 70. The experience was completely worth it, as I now have a guitar that is equal to, if not better than what I previously had.
i really did not like this guitar. it had a lot of problems like messed up gears the amp input on the guitar didnt work but over all it was an ok starting guitar
Output doesnt work
I am a beginner, and let me say this this was a sad deal... my christams, soiled, well i had gotten both the guitar and the amp, the amp i absolutley love but the guitar isnt that hot...
First of all the springs for the wammy wherent set in correctly, wammy bar broke in a week, poor pickups, flat sound, frets are horribley placed in, distortions a bit hard, the strap buttons are far to wide, its impossible to find a strap that fits, nut on the jack gets loose, nice 2 free picks, dont buy burswood strins, trust me, the little thinsg on the headstock that at tenstion too the strings, ha broke off... the neck slants upward, sd recording is useless, you can always do the old headphone trick, dvd teaches you nothing, and the instructions give you no helpful advise, nor will it tell you anything...
the inlays arent even in line, they were not even on the side of the neck right
my firstact me508 that has been used, thrown droped and smashed is in way better condition and sounds a hell of a liot better than this thing... and thats low, my firstact beats this so hard...
the only god things about burswood are the amp, and tunner, dont buy this guitar nor strings under burswood

I bought for my son, he love it... great sound and quality...
I got the guitar for Christmas. As soon as i plugged it up to the amp i was rockin' and a very happy kid. I took the guitar home in my car. so it wouldn't get beat up from shipping. what do you know? after about a week of playing the thing jus stopped working. I didn't drop it, i never plugged it up with the amp on, & followed all the little directions that came with it. Yet, I got a cheap guitar that doesn't work.

I love the look. I am a beginner and it is great for me to start out with.
i bought this guitar and when i got it home and connected it to my amp , no sound came out and i tried adjusting everything , but no avail.i return it to the stor and get another one. it worked fine for about 2 hours then the same problem. i took it to a guitar stor and they said that the electronics were soo cheap and bad that there only made to last for a very short time befor they need to be replaced. you get what you pay for
I AM FINDING IT DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN THE SOFTWARE AS NO ONE AROUND HERE IS FAMILIAR WITH IT. Pick-ups are very weak compared to my other guitars. It seems like a neat idea but after purchase support for software downloads may exist but is impossible to find.
I bought this guitar for my daughter for Christmas. I also bought the amplifier to go along with it. When I brought it home, my husband took everything out of the packages and hooked the guitar up to the amplifier. It sounded awesome!! We just wanted to make sure it would be worth the money before Santa leaves it under the tree on Christmas Eve! Well worth the money!!
- I jam out, create my music and share with friends.
- everything is great about the guitar espacially the recording
- there is nothing that I dislike
I've been playing this guitar for over a month now, and it's very solid. I am an experienced performing musician with a guitar endorsement, and I still recommend this guitar for home use. The recording function is the only reason I would get this over a cheap epiphone model. As for the "professionals" that are complaining, [...]. If you wanted the best, you would've went to a music shop. This is sufficient for a practice instrument with a few cool functions, but I would never play it live.
erick!, i love 40 year old moms!, from new jersey

Its for all ages! It is the best gutair & idea , i ever played!

First problem i found out of the box was the pickups. They're set WAY to high. Though this is fairly easy to fix they never end up sounding that good. Only when I bought realy good strings did this guitar even approach sounding in tune. Now for the kicker. After one week the whammy bar - which never did fit quite right - completely busted and will no longer screw into the guitar. I only bought this guitar because it was the cheepest one i could find period and after smashing my previous guitar I needed a quick replacement. I guess this guitar falls under the old saying, "You get what you pay for."

Not that I was seriously interested in this guitar, as I already own a decent one but I was at least curious. First, this is hands down the most poorly built strat copy I've ever played. The frets are inconsistant and not well planted into the fingerboard, making for buzzing on random notes even with the action set very high. The bridge is too far forward making notes go sharp as you get higher on the neck, this is impossible to rectify on the 3rd and 6th strings even if you adjust the intonation fully back. The tuning pegs are very coarse making it difficult to get in tune and stay in tune. Now the SD recording function. Even after reading the instructions several times and trying 3 different SD cards including one I brought from home that I KNOW is blank and in good condition, I could never get the record function to work. I tried 2 different guitars and both behaved differently from what the nearly non-existant manual says. Neither would record or play back sound. From the factory, it's bridge and intonation are completely out of adjustment. Correcting this is not a task for a novice. The only reason I gave this 2 stars is the price tag. But for [$], there's MUCH more usable guitars out there.
