I purchased this CHEAP SYSTEM because I needed something quick. Bad mistake Every RadioShack experience that I have had was BAD ... But this takes the CAKE. Purchased it on 11/17/08 and TRUST ME it is going BACK TO RADIOSHACK.
This is an awesome machine. It has the potential for anything. With 1000 watts, it will blow your mind. I played a dvd movie, The Fast and the Furious Toyko Drift, with the hdmi upconversion, the sound effects were unbelievable. It looks nice and elegant. This is something I would recommend to anybody who hasnt gotten a home theater system yet.
Really great sound for watching movies on it. I purchased a 32" HDTV from radioshack for a cheap price and it works great with it. It's easy to set up since it's color coded in the back. I LOVE IT. This is my first home theater system and it completes my life.
this system is powerfull if u have it in a living room its fantastic u can hide the subwoofer somewhere where no one will see it also i love this cuz the usb 2.0 feature the docking station the dvd player basically everything if u know how to u can connect it to ur computer like i did the bass it pounds hard like it will kill u lol its really nice trust me if u think about a surround for u pc or tv this is perfect price and sound so trust me and the bass is deep the best surround system i ever had
I set this up in the living room (17’ x 17’) of our home. The sound could easily fill a larger room than ours. This Home Theater In A Box (HTIB) is a great value.
*It has a built in radio tuner to listen to over-the-air radio channels (not satellite stations).
*It has an iPod dock.
*It sounds great listening to regular TV channels.
*Last night, the pre-season NFL game sounded great (ESPN, Bengals v Packers).
*It is phenomenal watching a DVD (The Bank Job).
*Very easy to set up.
*Each speaker has a color-coded connection that fits in a matching color-coded port on the back of the unit.
I could not be happier with this HTIB, especially for the price. For the average user, this HTIB is a BEST BET. You can spend a whole lot more, but could you tell the difference? We have this HTIB connected to 2 TVs. Via HDMI cable to an HD TV and via S-cable and audio cable to an older analog TV. The sound is really, really great. I’ve told all my friends about this HTIB. I believe this HTIB could be priced higher and would still be a good deal. I have another HTIB by JVC that I paid more money for, and the less expensive Philips HTIB is far superior in quality. I strongly recommend the Philips HTS3565D.
*NOTE: If you are in a room larger than 17’ x 17’, have some additional speaker wire on hand to splice in, as the included wire may not be long enough for a larger room. If you have an HD TV, use an HDMI cable (not included).
Again, I strongly recommend the Philips HTS3565D.
This sounds really good. It has heavy bass and crisp clear sound. I work for Radioshack and have it displayed in the store. For the price it is the best one we have carried.
this is the most perfect suround sound system i have ever bought i bought it about three days ago and it have the most amazing sound quality EVER!!!
i took mine back!! oh boy..
