Needs Transport Tweak- Otherwise OK

Pros:
Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, High Quality Picture
Cons:

Best Uses:
MP3's

Bottom Line:

I see these getting thrown out a lot, even though there really isn't anything wrong with them. The problem is that sometimes the plastic platter that holds the DVD has been pressed too deeply onto the motor shaft at the factory. When this happens, it causes the skidding-scratching that others keep writing about. Gently prying up on both sides of the disc platter at once fixes this. Only raise it up the thickness of a matchbook cover, you will fix it. Every tossed one I've found was fixable, even those that Radio Shack SMASHED in the dumpster :-( .

This unit is great for playing MP3 CD's and also plays MP3 DVD's as well. You can burn a mix DVD with your entire music collection on it and not worry if the disc gets stolen.

Internally this thing runs on a 12 and 5 volt power supply, so you can hack it to work in a car!Just feed it thru your aux input and listen to MP3 DVD's there as well. Car is 12v, so just steal the 5v from a junk phone charger.

I LOVED IT

I wanted something cheap to play DVD's - nothing more. That's exactly what I got. It's small, easy to use, plays a DVD, and at [$], how can you go wrong? If you're looking for something fancy with colored lights, multiple disks and a crazy remote, this isn't it. This is great value for something simple. It just sits there and plays my movies, and that's all I want.

I have used it on all types of DVDs, both home and movies along with music CDs and haven't been disappointed yet. We have used both the cheap ones and high priced units before and this one just plain gets the job done with no frills!

This product is GARBAGE with a Capital "G".
I bought this hunk of junk at Radio four days ago. (2/15/08) It is now Tuesday (2/19/08) And The DVD Player STOPS WORKING. First, It skips on my "Why did I Get Married" DVD (Good Movie, by the way), then it just stops. And when I ejected it, My DVD had scuff marks on it. Now, It won't play ANY DVDs.

If you want quality, Do not buy this product. It may be economically sound, but that about it.

Pros:
Good Value

I bought this as a replacement piece because I was using my XBOX as a dvd player and it died. The remote has a ton of features including a memory stop which seems to remember where you stopped dvd and picks up where you left off. I just opened the box and plugged it without reading the manual and everything is intuitive.
