This is a great workhorse of a deck! I purchased one for my church about a year ago to record the Sunday morning services. It is also used to duplicate a copy of the service if someone wants a copy. We have also used this deck to play back material back though the sound system. This is a nice deck I can count on to work whenever I turn it on and deliver great sound quality without fuss. With good cassette media (chromium tape from a reputable brand)it delivers near CD quality audio that even sounds much better than MP3 recording. It really is an "appliance" because you don't really need to know much about audio, or need to fuss with comlex, flakey computer sofware, just stick a tape in, press record, and adjust the meters so your sound is just below the red, and you'll get great recordings every time! Can't beat the cassette format for simplicity, and yes, many of our older members still do not have CD players, so this deck delivers great sounding, professional recordings for them!
