Comments about Sony Sony MDR-RF925RK 900MHz Wireless Headphones:

I was expecting that for [$] I would get a pretty decent wireless headset. Alas, that's not the case. While comfortable, the headset is bedeviled by static, hissing, and inexplicable changes in volume.

Comments about Sony Sony MDR-RF925RK 900MHz Wireless Headphones:

This is my second set of wireless Sony headphones. I really enjoy them. Every night I sleep with them, in bed. The sound quality and comfort of this model is outstanding. Also, the automatic "magnetic" sensing of the orientation of the headphones as they are inserted into the charging cradle is a first-rate feature.

Comments about Sony Sony MDR-RF925RK 900MHz Wireless Headphones:

I bought these headphones about two weeks ago. They go back tomorrow.

Pros: They are very comfortable and the sound is wonderful. Stereo really stands out.

Cons:

1. The battery charge function never did work. I left the unit on the charger for 3 days, well past the 16 hours recommended, and the battery pack never did take a charge.

2. I used my own batteries for a while. It worked fine – for a little while. Once the cover of the left earpiece was removed to put in my own batteries, it wouldn't stay on. It would pop off at the most inopportune times. The last time sealed the deal. The piece fell behind my wall unit and I had to unload the entire unit to get it.

3. Finally, the auto on/off feature failed. It would cut in/out every 2 seconds or so. This drove me nuts. Now the earphones are totally useless.

One last thought. This is a very large system. You better have a lot of room.

It worked great at first and then the charging light on the base quit working so I didn't know when and if it was charging. Also, I can not hear sound from the headphones anymore. I have had them less than 6 months.

Comments about Sony Sony MDR-RF925RK 900MHz Wireless Headphones:

These headphones are great for watching tv or for your audio system. I use them for relaxing after a long day on the job. Even though they only go 150 feet i can go to the kitchen or bathroom without missing anyhing on tv or a song. The only thing is that there is just a little noise that comes on from time to time. but being a soundman nothing wireless does not have a little noise in it. these are a good buy for your money.

Comments about Sony Sony MDR-RF925RK 900MHz Wireless Headphones:

Usually like Sony products - VERY disappointed with these headphones. Tried different channels, volume settings etc, STILL got frequent "popping" with signal drop-out, even within feet of the base unit. Tried them out in the garden (well within suggested range) - forget about it!
Exchanged them for a different brand

I like the way the headphones feel. It's very comfortable. I'm getting some static when listening to music. The main problem is no matter how many times I lock the battery compartment cover, it keeps falling off on to the floor.

Comments about Sony Sony MDR-RF925RK 900MHz Wireless Headphones:

Have been using for a few days. There is a constant light hiss. This is mostly remedied by turning down the volume dial on the set, and turning up the source volume (computer, receiver, etc). The sound quality itself is fairly good - nice crisp highs and the bass reproduction is there, not spectacular though. They are very comfortable and easy to use, the self adjusting headband is amazing - the spring tension is perfect for keeping then where you set them. One last issue, the cord from the source to the transmitter/base is only about 30" long - might be a problem if you want to use then with a laptop or similar.

I purchased this on 05/13/2008. I opened it up and put it on charge for 48 hours. After charging I started using them. I would use them for an hour and they would shut off. I had to unplug the unit and plug it back in. Plus the charge light would not go off.

I've had them for a month. I work in a machine shop with a lot of 3 phase machines and they do not pick up any static from the machines. The only limiting factor is radio reception. But I found a spot near a window 20 feet from my work area that gets great signal and I get crystal clear sound. Highly recommend !!!!

Just bought this yesterday, they look so nice. The price is good too, like that they are rechargeable. But the ones I got wont make a sound... I tried them with my TV, my hometheater, my mp3 player, my other tv and they just wont work. I guess its just the wrong pair, Ill change then today for the same ones. Hope this time they will be ok.

LOVED THIS PRODUCT FROM THE GET GO...I'M SO GLAD WE WERE ABLE TO FIND A PRODUCT THAT ALLOWS US TO FUNCTION AS A FAMILY. MY HUSBAND USES IT WHEN HE WORKS LATE, MY 4YR SON USES IT WHEN DAD HAS WORKED ALL NIGHT AND NEEDS TO REST, 5YR OLD SISTER LIKES IT JUST BECAUSE AND I USE IT WHEN THE CHILDREN ARE ASLEEP. THAT'S HOW EASY IT IS TO USE--MY 4YR OLD CAN JUST LIFT IT OFF THE CRADLE AND PUT IT ON. I HAVE NOW ADDED IT TO MY GIFT LIST FOR CHRISTMAS AS HOW MY MOTHER IN LAW LOVED IT--SHE'S HARD OF HEARING BUT THIS PRODUCT ALLOWS HER TO TURN UP THE VOLUME WITHOUT THE TV VOLUME BEING AS HIGH.

Comments about Sony Sony MDR-RF925RK 900MHz Wireless Headphones:

Purchased over the radio shack brands on the advice of the salesman. These were okay, fairly comfortable. There is a constant hiss - much like listening to an older cassete player. It was not noticiable except in between songs, but is noticiable on a quiet intro or simpler song with little background instruments. Changing the channels didn't help, and I even picked up two-way radio traffic. The tab on the left ear - which covers the battery - would fall off by itself after an hour or so. It could be because I loaded the door the wrong way when loading the battery and almost couldn't get it off again.I ended up taking it back just because I couldn't handle the hiss. In the end, no wireless headphone is going to sound as good as wired headphones. I bought the Koss Titanium wired headphones (saving [$]) and they're a 1000% better, even with the wire.

Heard lots of clicking and popping even when right in front of the transmitter. Returning for a refund. The headphones were light and the base unit was easy to set up but for the cost I did not think the sound was good at all.

Comments about Sony Sony MDR-RF925RK 900MHz Wireless Headphones:

The wireless headphones have great clarity of sound. I can wash dishes, cook, exercise, go upstairs and downstairs (great range - 150 feet)and not get wires caught all over the place. I love it. There is a bit of static if the microwave gets turned on or if I go too far from the base, but it is a small inconvenience for a great convenience. Good price for a very good product.

Comments about Sony Sony MDR-RF925RK 900MHz Wireless Headphones:

I like that these are light and very comfortable, but I hear constant ticking/poping and occasional static no matter what channel I set. Happens no matter how close I get to the base.

It might just be interference in my home but at this price I will be returning these and buying something with a cord.
