I purchased this laptop as the replacement for a horrible Compaq I had for three years. It runs Vista with NO problems, but that may be due to the 2G of RAM. I was worried with all of the compliants about Vista, but never even a frozen website. I have used this for about 6 months so I would have a more accurate review.
What isn't so great is the weight, I use this at home with a two year old running around, so more often than not I have to lug it one-handed. I am looking for the Toshiba version of the tiny netbooks to come out so I can easily carry it from room to room. I have a tendency to brand loyalty and this one is great in my opinion.

I purchased this lap top in Feb. of this year (2008), it has a habit of over heating and now it will not turn on.
After doing some research I discovered that this is a common problem with this machine.

I got this laptop about 6months ago and I have really enjoyed the performance of it. My wife has had the same one for a year or so and she loves her's. I would recomend this laptop to anyone just shop around becouse I have found the price to be a different of $200.00 so look around. Radioshack has had the best price. I got mine at another store and paid $200.00 more for the same one and I am not happy about that. So look around.

I bought this as a first time computer for my 12 yr old son, which for a beginner it seems pretty good although it is sluggish and is rather large and heavy if you plan to carry it around with you alot. I would reccomend this, however I would add more memory.
