I use it for internet, e-mail, and to run software and graphics for automotive test equipment. The picture quality is exceptional. Had to re-watch my DVD collection when I realized how much detail i had missed on my TV. It runs a little hot, but a cooling stand easily takes care of that. Keyboard is kind of flimsy feeling and awkward. touch pad completely sucked until I changed the settings. Acer "empowering technology" gives you VISTA Platinum features without having to buy the upgrade. My next laptop will definitely be an Acer Aspire.

besides the touch mouse pad not working and it restarting in the start window when you first turn it on it is soooo great. i play world of warcraft on it with a usb mouse and the few problems must people would take it back well you can get around it no problem. i also use it for college papers and work would sell and buy this product.

My husband (who is considered tech savvy) had to remove some unneeded programs because they weren't needed but this computer is fast and works well. I have no complaints about it. I use it mostly for reading email and surfing the web but I also occasionally use it for movies. Bottom line: it's a great computer for the price!

This is a really nice laptop for the money. After rebate I got it for [$] and they also had a sale price on the 1GB stick of RAM, so I doubled the memory for [$]! I don't know if I could've done much better than that even if I had bought refurbished. I like the Acer brand name, I've used their motherboards for years and they've always been reliable. I use this mainly for light internet and e-mail purposes, so if you want something for hardcore gaming or video-editing, be prepare to spend a couple hundred more dollars, but if you just need a basic laptop for the student or light internet user in your house, look no further!

I USED THIS FOR BASIC INTERNET USE AND ONLINE GAMING HERE AND THERE. INTERNET IS SLOWER THAN A WINDOWS DESKTOP THAT IS 7 YEARS OLD! WHEN TURNING THE LAPTOP ON, IT TELLS ME ITS SHUTTING DOWN. FOR ITS PRICE, ITS NOT EVEN WORTH IT!!!
