work good
I removed this from my computer and when reconnecting, it wouldn't recognize the devices. I tried every configuration to no avail.
I simply use it for my basic keyboard, my laser mouse, Linksys wireless, and occasionally my MP3 player when I need to charge it. I find its not very reliable for constant use though, often times, it dies out for no reason, and I have to unplug it and plug it back in, thus disconnecting me from internet, usage of my mouse and keyboard as well, making my computer pretty useless when it happens, needless to say, I'm quite dissatisfied with the product, and if it wasn't a necessity, I wouldn't even have it, I intend to buy a much better one, [...] next time I need to buy any computer parts.
I am using this on my 2001 vintage second PC. It has solved the problems of a picky laser mouse, and runs a backlit keyboard and a hard drive now encased in an external USB device (with it's own power source). The Y-cable supplies ample power for both interface devices. I also like that the ports can be fitted together or allowed to pull in different directions--however you want to do it. I have room for one more device, which is handy for temporary items like game controllers. If I decided to expand the ports on my new PC for low power devices, I'll probably use another one of these hubs.

This is a great little device that is a must to have for those extra USB devices. My favorite thing about this item is that you can have major flexibility by putting each separate hub almost anywhere you need it to be. The thing that I don't like about this item is that it is kind of hard to disconnect your devices from each hub, but it is very reliable and if you need more power for your devices to increase the transfer speed, all you have to do is connect the y- cable. But ever since i purchased this port hub, i have found no use for it. In all, this is a must have for your extra usb devices
