I got this router because I wanted to play my Xbox 360 online aswell as using my computer on the Net. When I first brought home the router I did as it says I put the CD in and Followed it step by step till I was finished conecting everything, But for some reason when I tried to play online or connect to the internet it just doesent work I get no conectivity at all! anyone got any suggestions, I didnt just spend[$] for nothing?[@]

We had a combination modem/DSL router that we got from Verizon. When my girlfriend got a job with Comcast we dropped Verizon on the count of the whole FREE thing. Comcast doesn't offer a modem/router, so after some quick research we decided to buy this product based on needs, price and reviews.
We have one hard wired PC and my girlfriend has a macbook, iphone and we both have Nintendo DS's.
This router works flawless on the ethernet connection, and pretty good on the wireless connections we have been using anywhere on our 1/3acre property, EXCEPT when the microwave is running.

NO wireless signal can be used when the microwave is running. We did not have this problem with the Verizon modem/router.

I purchased a Dell laptop a couple days ago with the highest upgrade on the wireless car built in, and have had many problems keeping a signal.
For the most part surfing the internet is fine, it is running messengers like AIM and Yahoo where I get the most trouble. The signal comes for about 2 minutes, then gets dropped for about 20 seconds.
I made 2 lengthy calls to Dell tech support, and they had me disable the n band on my wireless card wich helped alot, and I didn't lose the connection all day untill I sat down on one end of the couch with my girlfriend on the other. I was using my new laptop, and she was using her macbook wich is g band and I kept losing my connection.
I called Dell tech support back and after using a remote assistance assured me there is nothing wrong with my wireless card, the problem is with my signal, and wanted to charge me to diagnose the problem farther, wich I did not agree to.
I have not called Linksys tech support, but have determined I am getting some sort of interference from being too close to the macbook. As long as we are at least 10 foot apart my signal seems fine.

I am not sure, but I am guessing the reason it is susceptible to interference is the lack of antennae on the router, because the Verizon modem/router worked fine with under all conditions even with my dad's laptop running on the kitchen table with macbook right next to it.

Bottom line is this thing will work ok, but as far as the extended range it is less than the Verizon equipment wich would work 3-4 houses down.
And the interference is really annoying. It was really easy to set up and you can name your router's signal and password protect it, wich I thought was pretty cool.

I think I am going to try the Linksys wrt150n it cost $20 more, but it does have antennae on the back of it.
Not sure if I will get the results I want, but I'm gonna give it a whirl. I am going to tell them the problem I am having and ask thier opinion on what I should buy at the store. I'll leave a review for that product too if it is better, if it is not I am just going to return it and get something else.

I just bought this item today and i got it up and running in 5 min. the start up disk helps alot. I have a playstation 2&3 and a psp and this router works on psp and ps3 but the slim ps2 doesnt have a wireless signal... but it is great

Simple home network for the family with laptops and a desktop. Laptops can easily access the Web from anywhere in the house, security easy to setup and keeps others from stealing your bandwidth.

I bought a laptop and wanted to be able use wireless as my computer it built in.'

My rounter is next to my desk computer and I can use my laptop in the living room.

Works great.

the wifi dosent go much further than my wrt54gs router but overall its a good router goes up about 2 floors in my home and hardly lose connection. fixs some flaws with the wrt54gs router like NAT issues

Dosent get any better it is the best. It rox if you want a router get this one :-D When you first get it it is the best in the world. Very Very Fast youll love It I GARENTEE!!!!!!!!!!

Just got it and seems to be working much better then my D-link. It sets up easy and works great for my xbox360 and laptop.
