I have a home network set up in a two-family residence. I couldn't get more than a 40% signal with my original equipment antennae on my D-Link wireless card. I found this on the website and purchased it in-store. It was [$] WELL spent. This boosted my signal to 100% and found 4 other networks in my area! I have a 40% signal from a network located 3 houses down and across the street from me. It always operates at 54Mbps and can even maintain 36Mbps on the 40% signal strength down the street. Excellent purchase!

My roommates and I were having trouble with our wireless connection on the other end of the house. I added this antenna and now have full reception throughout most of the house. We have a LARGE 2 story house 5 rooms 2 bed so you tell me if it will work on your house?

This is a pretty good antenna, but most people expect and antenna like this to solve any problem.Pro's:-supports both of the most common connections for WiFi-sturdy base makes it easy to place-just enough cable to place it on a nearby desk or other surfacecons:-a little bulky-a bit expensive tooI'd recommend this to someone who is barely connected to a WiFi signal(read 1/5 'bars'). It will make all the difference. Don't expect this to triple the range of your wireless connection though.[...]

ISP is wireless in an RV Park. With internal wireless card, signal was at less than 1.0 Mbps average. Connections would drop consistently after only a few minutes of use. Most of the time, no connection was able to be made...Now?
Up to 11mbs depending on activity in the surrounding lots. Average about 5.5 mbs! This antenna was the answer. A very effective soloution!

Our internet connection comes in at one end of our house and my computer was at the opposite end in my office. I had little to no signal strength. I installed this on the router and now I have full signal throughout the entire house.

By Noah N from Topeka KS on 2/24/2007
Pros:
Easy to use, Good performance, Good Value, Reliable

I was dissapointed to find out that my 2.4Ghz Hawking Technologies router would not give me anything better than a low quality signal strength between the 1st floor and the basement. I knew I could find something at Radioshack to help with the problem but wasnt expecting something this great! I have an signal that reads excellent now (4 bars) all of the time and super fast download speeds. If my wife is happy, then I am too.

By John LVerified Reviewer from California on 1/16/2007
Pros:
Easy to use, Good performance, Good Value, Reliable

Set up in a snap with my D-Link wireless router - simply unscrewed the old antenna and screwed in this one. I set it up inside my TV cabinet and I get full signal at both ends of my house with no signs of interference from the TV. The far end of my home is about forty feet away and the signal goes through three walls with no problem!

By Paul O from Illinois on 9/24/2006
Pros:
Easy to use

Helps, but is still inadequate in my house. I can be a mere 20 feet away (through floor and 1 wall), and not pick up a signal. Problem might be solved with longer cable. Easy to install, though still not worth the money.

This thing is well worth the money. My PC is temporarily 200ft from my router(linksys wrt54g) and I was getting no signal at all.I installed this in about 1 min and now my signal according to the linksys control panel,is at 75%.My download speeds only dropped slightly from when it was wired. This is a great product.

Solved problem of ...
By Tom H from Fairfax, VA on 8/11/2006
Pros:
Easy to use, Good performance, Good Value, Reliable

Solved problem of fluctuating signal strength. Took less than a minute to attach in place of stock antenna on my Verizon provided router . Signal on laptop had varied between nul and very good - mostly on the low signal end. Signal at PC varied between low and good. With new antenna laptop is registering a consistent very good and PC steady at excellent. Neither machine has lost connectivity since new andtenna was installed. My problem was not distance - neither client is over 30 ft away. Suspect it was caused by high ambient 2.4 GHz signals in this neighborhood. At an end cost of $10 after $30 worth of rebates you can't go wrong trying this antenna. For the record: previously had same problem with D-Link and Linksys routers.
