I've been using these disc for a year and a half and i had problems in the beginning but the disc was not the problem, the burn speed was the problem. I set the burn speed to 8x and it's been working good ever since. For people that's giving this product a bad name, check your software and your hardware before you voice your opinionchec

Great DVD R For The Price

I don't know what others are talking about, I have never had an incident or a single bad disc when using the TDK DVD+R. I use them all the time on my computer for data backup and with my DVD recorder to record movies and TV shows and they are always consistent. Perhaps the error lies in the hardware, not the disc.

Worst Media You Can Buy

This is some of the worst media you can buy at RadioShack. The media code is CMCMAG0001 . CMC Magnetics manufactures some of the worst media ever made, and TDK's DVD+R are no exception. Out of a pack of 50. I have had errors on 22 disks and counting. Some of the disks go right into the trash because the flaws are blatant. If you are looking for media to back up movies, games, or data, look elsewhere. My recommendation is Verbatim, Sony, or even Memorex. TDK's used to be great, but since changing manufacturers there media is horrific.

I like 'em
Been using these for over a year.
Allow overburning to over 4,800,000,000 bytes

Only one coaster, however I only burn at 8X and under Linux.

Definately like the solid grey writing surface.
Recommend them over Imation, TDK, Maxell & Phillips .

dvd recordings
By abc from usa on 12/30/2007
Pros:
Reliable Recording
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

For best results, when recording onto any cd or dvd it is prudent to set the recording speed at 1/2 of the rated maximum. The 1-16X TDK +R dvds work very well at 8x.
