Yes, it would be nice if it had a guard on it but you should know not to stick your fingers in a fan. It would also be better if it were multi-speed. That said, it works great for what I needed it for...to circulate a lot of air.

moves 35 CFM, 2 wires work either way +/- .13Amps, sounds very solid

owned for many years.
finally using the fan to cool notebook attached to docking device.
fan is just LOUD, with high frequency whine.
moves a ton of air, but annoying.

This fan takes a while to speed up, but when it does, watch out. I removed the skin to three knuckles by accident. This is not like a computer fan that is plastic and stops when you touch it. [...]
