It is a little loud, but the 120mm fan drowns it out. It dropped my CPU temp down from 48C to 31C idle. I like the side mount because it carries the heat right out of my box.

It's quite loud, although the package says 3800 rpm its actually 4440 rpm! It gets the job done! The faster the fan speed, the better it will cool. It's not really loud, kind of quiet!
