YOU HAVE TO OPEN CONTROL PANEL, GOTO SOUND/AUDIO OPTIONS AND BOOST THE MIC (+db) box if using Win XP or boost the mic using the slider control if using windows Vista to +20db or +30db. Otherwise your going to have to yell into it like these other people complained!

I had to hold this mic at my mouth and yell for it to work.

I bought this mic for PC chat. You have to get right on top of the mic to output any sound at all which is indistingushible by the listener on the other end, if they can hear anything at all. Save your money; it doesn't work.

i use this product to record songs but it doesn't record the music while i'm singing like other mics.

It doesn't to that much and unless you speak really loud or bring the mic close to you, the person you are talking to with the mic can barley hear you.

I bought this mic for my girlfriend's computer and wanted an inexpensive mic since it wouldn't get used a whole lot. The cable is thinner than most earbud cables. This mic makes it sound like you're flying in a helicopter even in a quiet room. I wouldn't recommend this mic to my worst enemy!
