I use the USB 3-D Swivel Adapter at work to protect my USB flash drive from breakage. The typical drive extends from the front USB port of the computer sitting on the floor where the drive is vulnerable to being hit by someones foot or leg. The swivel adapter allow the drive to simply swing out of the way without breaking the USB connector on the drive. Highly recommend for peace of mind while using a USB flash drive in situations where damage could occur due to its protrusion into working space.
