No, I would not recommend this to a friend
There is no advantage that this cable has over ones half price (or less). [...] That means even if I have 6 faulty ones (which won't actually happen of course) I'll still come out ahead. Radio Shack isn't even a tried and true brand like Belkin anyway. So get Belkin if you're worried about losing [$]on a cheaper cable, but don't want to spend WAY too much on Radio Shack.

This is a good cable that is built well, but the price is rediculous.
