I'm so glad I pulled the trigger on this! I use it everyday. I especially like the traffic alerts (a feature I didn't think of much when I first bought it). Saved me multiple times - awesome!

Bought this product Third Magellan GPS I owned [...] Aquires satellite quickly and is very readable. Only problem so far is voice command takes several tries to work. Also it prononuces some streets incorectly "Statenis Expresway" for Staten Island Expressway. But in gerneral this is a great unit.

Awsome is the word i use. I run into a traffic jam today in an area i was not used to so i called on the "Maestro" to reroute me and it did and in fact turned out to be a much quicker route than what i was traveling.

Had not thought of Magellan, was looking at Garmin and Tom Tom. Went to several retailers who all told me they had seen an increase in the returns on both first choices. Helped make me take the look that made the difference.
Very easy for a tech challenged wife who will use it as much as myself. Real estate is hard enough without the hassles of getting somewhere on time. The 3250 has stopped that problem so far. Plus it has made just getting there more fun.
Am looking at buying two more units for the other cars and drivers in the family. May go to the 4250 for the increased options.

I received a Tom Tom XL one for Christmas. I could not Pair it with my Razor[...] So this time after staying up looking at Review's till 3:00AM, I decided to give the Magellan 3250 a try?. No comparison in my opinion. I had no Problem with Pairing and with the 3 Months of free traffic subscription service (which already came in handy) what a deal! One more thing, I used both of them The Tom Tom and Magellan on a long trip. Although both were accurate the Magellan had more in the way of POI and hands free phone. I am going on another road trip today. I can?t wait to use it again.

Although I have not had this GPS for a long time, I am so impressed with this product that I had to write a review. This Mag 3250 is absolutely the best! I am a homehealth therapist so I have to do a lot of traveling. Initially I was using maps printed from the internet. But I was constantly getting lost. So I did some comparison shopping for best features and price. I decided on the Mag 3250 because it seemed to be the better deal. To me that is now an understatement. The directions have been accurate and on point. I didn't realize until after I bought the GPS that it was voice activated (what a pleasant surprise!). Another thing I like is the that it states the street name. And as if that wasn't enough it will also make a ding or beep sound (depending on what you set it for), to let you know when to turn. This is good for those times when you have streets close together (very helpful). Some GPS systems have problems operating when the sky is overcast. NOT this Mag 3250! For example, this morning it was raining something fierce and that lil Mag 3250 went on about its business giving me accurate directions! I LOVE IT! I also like that it calculates the arrival time for you, which is contantly being adjusted with your speed (WOW!). It also changes the LCD screen automatically for night viewing (impressive). Oh, one more thing, at the bottom of the screen on the left it tells you how far you have to travel before your next turn (very useful) along with an arrow showing the turn direction. Once the GPS figures your directions, it lights up in green. I know I probably sound like the spokesperson for Magellan, lol! Anyway, all in all, I give this Mag 3250 an A++!

This product has alot of features for the price compared to the Garmin and Tom Tom but it lacks the reliability of these other products. It freezes on the screen and you have to pray it is not in the middle of a trip like it happened to me. However it has the most up to date maps with accurate directions. I returnd the unit because you cannot count on it most of the time. I am happier with my less sophisticated and pricy Garmin. Garmin is the way to go if you want reliability.

Like one of the other reviewers, I also had trouble with a unit freezing at startup. However, I brought it back to[...] after calling tech support and [...] exchanged it with no hassle at all. With that said, I love my 3250. I have owned it less than a week, and am still finding out new features. I love the voice-command where you can say "Magellan" and she will say, "say a command" and you can tell it things like, "Nearest restaurant" and then verbally specify the food type and it will have directions to the restaurant of your choice ready to go in a second or two. I also love the "EXIT POI'S" feature in the menu, which tells you how far the nearest gas station, restaurant, etc. is when you're on the interstate (very handy when you really "gotta go.")I am still experimenting with the blue tooth, and am not sure if it's my RAZR or the Magellan that's finickey, or if I just don't know how to work it yet (which is also possible).I also love the AAA guidebook feature, which includes descriptions, phone numbers, hours of operation and admission costs to tourist attractions. The menu's are a little more difficult to understand than other models, but with enough playing around, they are simple enough to figure out.

Owned unit for 6 days and had to call support twice. Issues related to either turning on the unit or once on, trying to unfreeze it. Both issues were resolved "magically" after pressing the "on/off" switch and/or "reset" repeatedly for 5-10 minutes.

I have been using the 3250 for about two weeks. This is the best gps I have ever used. The ones that I'm comparing it with are TomTom One 3rd, Mio 220 and 230, Garmin Nuvi 350, and Garmin streetpilot 330. The Magellan is not quite as easy to use as the Garmin units, but lets the user have more control over navigation.Pros:-Best poi database I have seen with AAA tour book-Voice commands, really cool-TrueView map. Shows you the intersection turns on the left of the screen-Up to date maps, 8/2007-Text to speech-Traffic conditions-Interactive POI icons. On map screen icons, touch and see what it is.-Navteq maps. Better than TelAtlas thats on TomTom and Mio-Tells you what side of the road your destination is on. Garmins do this too.-Quick spell. Makes entering in you address much easier.-Multi destination routing.Cons:-Customer support. Website and phone not that good-No user guide-Rerouting after missing a turn a little slower than the others-Some buttons are too smallOverall I really like this Gps. If you want alot for your money this is the one. Check prices, because on some sites the price changes daily. [$]

I have used Mapopolis Voice Guidance Navigation through my PDA for years and purchased the Magellan 3250 for my husband. While trying to program, I came upon an abundance of features with this model for its compact size and[$]---so great, I purchased one for myself! This unit is not perfect, but it gets me to point A - B, and makes my route faster. I would definitely buy again!

After much research, adn seeing several other units working (Friends)this is the best device for under [$]. The text-to-speech feature is a must, it tells you the names of the streets and exits to turn onto. Also, the display has great split screen graphics, example, around-abouts (circles) it shows an image of the around-about and displays an image of which exit to take, and says "take the 3rd exit after entering around-about". Out of the box and set up in the car in 2 mins. No need to read directions, and found y location right away. Internal memory is great with option for SD card. Also has blue tooth for phone calls ect. I have used several other brands, this is the best one for the money period. Compact and looks great. Do not be fooled by other types, Megellan is the best period.
