When I first got my Garmin I set my home address as home and no matter where I am I can set the unit to go home and it finds the shortest way home, also all I need now to find some place or someone is an address I no longer have to get turn by turn directions and try to write them down and then stop and look stop and look at directions as I go to find out if I am going in the right direction. This unit is great wished I had gotten one sooner. Great unit Great price recommend it to everyone.

bought this item after my navagon got stolen. this unit is great with directions but the graphics lack slightly. biggest problem i have with this is thet very few street names show up on my unit. spent hours with tec support (after trying every setting myself)and still no names. i like to know what streets are around me, a map with a bunch of little colored lines all over it does me no good. funny thing is over grown, out of use roads, names show up. i find this odd since im buying a brand new unit with updated maps and it does, out of all the other roads, list ones names that have not been traveled on in god knows how many years.

From a person that has trouble "finding my way out of a paper sack" as my mother used to tell me, this thing is fabulous!!!!!!!!! We even tried to trick it by going another way and it redirected as soon as we made the turn. My Husband used it this weekend to go to his favorite fishing spot (2 1/2 hrs away from home) and it actually gave him a shorter way to get there than he would have normally taken, and we are talking about the swamp where you can very seldom get cell phone reception, it worked perfectly!!!

This thing was great! Turn by turn directions at just the right time to prepare. Accurate enough to recalculate an alternate route if I miss a turn or need to get around traffic in literally less than a second. Very user friendly and a good investment on a lower end GPS unit. I only hope that the map updates come out quick to compensate for all the new road construction in the areas I travel.
