Great Basic GPS unit

This is a great basic GPS unit. Perfect for beginning geocachers. This unit works well under tree cover. I'm not sure what Garmin model the previous reviewer has (Jungle Jim) but it is not this unit as these just became available in the past year. I own 3 different Garmin handhelds and all are excellent units.

We purchased our Garmin about 3 years ago and have been dissatisfied with it ever since. It cuts out under sparse tree cover, loses a track if you don't save it making it difficult to retrace your route. It also just loses a track in mid-hike. We never use it anymore and it was a waste of [$]at the time.
