I bought this camera as a backup for my Digital SLR and Camcorder. It can take almost 60 min. of video on a 2 GB High-Speed SD card. It is fast when used with high-speed memory. The LCD display can be turned off for stills, and the viewfinder works well, which helps battery life. 8Mb is more than enough for stills taken on a handheld camera. I bought it on a whim and I'm glad I did.
