I bought this Sony DVD primarily for the name brand and have not been disappointed. It was the best price/feature combo available at the time. The 20x OPTICAL zoom is great. Did I mention that it is very easy to use? DVD disks play on all newer TV DVD players immediately. Really convenient. At [$] per disk (18 min actual recording) they are kinda expensive... but you dont have to download anything to a computer or DVD burner to save your movie either. Guess you cant have everything. $1 per disk would be nice.

this is the absolute best camcorder in the world! the zoom (40x) is amazing and the picture quality is great. The touchscreen is nice and it is simple to use.

I am not that great with technology today, and was weiry about buying a camcorder that I can use with ease,and all I have to say is that the Sony handycam DVD is perfect and it met all my needs( its small, the photo quality is amazing, and is so simple to operate!
