SO I REAKOMEND NOOOOOOOOO BODY SHOULD GET THIS CAMCORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[$] ....IT VERY SMALL AND IT TAKES GREAT MOVIES AND PICTURES ....I LOVE IT ....
I thought this would be a good purchase since it was radio shack but since I couldn't get any video sync to the audio no matter what the settings were Im very disappointed,
seems to only work well in full HD when on a Tripod otherwise the moving around looks completely jargy and in poor quality
i like it very well the battery life goes out a few times and the mic. isnt all that powerful but i really love the quality of and how awsome it looks. I REALLY DO LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a great camera, I was surprised to find out that it came with recharger + batteries. Be warned that the mic is at the very top, so it mostly records you talking than subjects. The .mov format is odd, lucky it comes w/software to stitch up a movie and transcode the .mov onto other formats. Comes w/pouch, and battery life was dicent. I bought it to shoot my brother's wedding, I shot it at 720, should it shot it higher, but overall I'm pretty happy w/my purchase. SDHC cards work, and you can use up 8Gig cards.
Now listen, you have to realize that the camera is only [$]Now that we got that out of the way, this camera rocks. If you use it for quick videos, carry it around with you anywhere you go and want to shoot a quick video of your kids then this camera is just the thing that you want. Just wish I had one of these years before.

The DXG-569V out performed a $499.99 Digital camera I tried. Great in low light even without the low light feature enabled. No deep shadows indoors or out. Very comfortable and easy to hold stable. The display is crisp and clear. Long battery life. Zoom is smooth and study. Professional DVD quality at a hobby price.

A nifty little camera that delivers - if you have good lighting conditions. Dark locations, low light indoor videos will guarantee more-than-you-will-want noise. Shooting stills is quite nice. It does get into some trouble taking photos of moving objects.
The DXG-569v would have been EXCELLENT/ALMOST PERFECT if:
1) it uses AA batteries. (It uses AAA and the best AAA batteries can only give you 1000mah. You can get us high as 2900mah from AA batteries)
2) it shoots 60fps.
3) it shoots at 1080p.
4) It has optical zoom
5) This one really caught my eye: The Tripod jack's treads are PLASTIC! It should have been metal! It's a no-brainer that the treads will be damaged pretty fast if you always use a tripod.

The image quality in HD mode is superb!
A shame it performs only so-so when it, or the subject it's filming, is moving.

Don't get me wrong, it's super easy to use and definitely super-cheap. But just because something says it's "high definition" doesn't mean it is. I shot an ISO 12233 with this camera in full 1280x720 mode only to discover that the actual resolution is about 250x250 in both macro and normal focus modes. An old 8mm video camera will actually provide a cleaner image.
Low light sensitivity is nonexistant, sound quality is acceptible but not great. Even in strong light, the image is blocky and jerky. Image is harsh and very obviously artificially sharpened. If you just want some cheep, easy-to-use thing to put cute little video clips on your website, this will do. But don't waste your time using the "HD" mode, leave it in SD, you won't miss any detail at all. But Radio Shack sells better stuff for the job than this camera for similar price. For the record, I have never used an "HD" camera that cost less than $4,000 that was any sharper than a good SD camera.
