Comments about Targus Targus TG-RSSP Universal Screen Protectors (4-Pack):
I went through all four screen shields in about 5 minutes. Took the first one and i couldnt get the bubbles out, i took the second one and while i was scrathing the bubbles out i realized that the end of the card left scratches in the screen protectors with every stroke. The third one went on bubble free but as i was wiping the figerprints off the screen protector lifted up and got the microfiber strings under it, and the fourth one did the same. bad product do not waste your money on it

See what your equipment's manufacturer offers instead, or find a product that is specifically designed for your unit without the need to cut. Waste of money!
Comments about Targus Targus TG-RSSP Universal Screen Protectors (4-Pack):
I wouldn't consider these screen protects to be excessively bad as other users reviews suggest. Yes, I imagine there are better out there, but in a pinch, these DO get the job done. They're easy to size, cut, and attach, and they're also easy to remove when needed. However, PATIENCE is an absolute requirement when using this product.
First, before attaching the screen protector, the screen must be absolutely pristine clean, with no specks of dust or grit, and no fingerprints. This requirement applies to ALL screen protectors, not just the Targus protectors. If the screen isn't clean when you attach the protector, then it will not adhere correctly, and unremovable "speck bubbles" will appear. The only way to remove them is to remove the protector, clean the screen, and start over.
When you first attach the protector, even if the screen is absolutely clean, there's bound to be some air bubbles, it's unavoidable. Again, PATIENCE is required to remove them. The Targus screen protectors include a soft plastic "squeegee" stick to help attach the protector to the screen, and to help remove any air bubbles. I have found it works best to SLOWLY (No faster than 1/4 inch per second) push the air bubbles towards the edge with the narrow end of the squeegee stick, where they will finally escape and disappear. Yes, it's tedious, and it may take several minutes, but it is possible to get rid of all the air bubbles. If, as mentioned above, the screen was not properly cleaned before attaching the protector, there may still be some bubbles that cannot be removed, because they have specks of dust or dirt under them that the squeegee cannot move. Again, in these cases, you'll just have to remove the protector, clean the screen, and start over.
In my personal experience, the only time the protectors are noticeable is when the camera's screen is turned off. When the screen is on, it's barely noticeable, if at all. This applies to both of my digital cameras, one with a fairly small 1.5" screen, the other a larger 2.8" screen. Other reviews mention the protectors making the screen blurry or dimmer than normal, neither of which I noticed on either camera. The screens of my cameras seem just as bright and clear with the protectors as without them.
Probably my only real complaint I have about this product is that the corners and edges of the protector don't seem to adhere very well. They sometimes tend to lift away from the screen slightly. I'll admit it could be a result of improper trimming on my part preventing it from being a perfect fit, but it is still a little annoying. However, even this is barely noticeable when the screen is turned on. It's still doing its job protecting the screen, which is important.
I've only had these screen protectors for about a month, so I can't really comment yet on durability. However, my initial opinion when I first started using them was that they should be sufficient enough to protect against light to moderate scratching and scuffing. Obviously it wouldn't protect against a nail being forcefully gouged across the screen, but it should be sufficient to protect the screen from any other objects (Like keys or coins) that happen to be sharing your pocket with the camera.
So, even though these screen protectors aren't perfect, I believe they're not quite as bad as the other reviews indicate. They're worth a try if you're in a pinch or just need an inexpensive screen protector for an inexpensive camera.

This is a really poor excuse for a screen protector!
The previous ones we got from Radio Shack were titled Universal Screen Protectors and were RS's own--not Targus.
Those were really clear, went on perfectly, and you couldn't even tell they were on-- the sign of a great protector!
By contrast, these cut down too much on the transmission, making the screen darker and hazier. The bubbles are impossible to get out!
Finally, this is another of those poorly packaged products with the hard plastic that requires scissors to get open! We should have European style laws here that would require the companies to take back such packaging! They'd quickly move to easily opened, recyclable packaging!
