It wasn't even useable in my Sony DSR11
Since it refuses to insert into a Sony DSR-11 DVCAM Recorder (it also plays and records MINI DV), the manufacturer needs to clarify the line on the packaging which reads "For use in MINI DV camcorders and players". Clearly, it's not for all players. I have used a 'dry tape' MINI DV head cleaner in the Sony DSR-11 without any problem.
Works great in my Canon ZR80.
To get it to work instructions must be read and followed exactly. Turn camera to VCR setting; I found, like others if you do not do this, and try to operate cleaner in Camera mode you will get a tape error. But in VCR mode cleaner works as described.
The only problem I have is I find the case a little lightweight and bit flimsy. But it does appear to be holding up and I expect it to last at least a year or two.
My JVC does not detect the "hyperbrush" ... at all... waste of my time and money ...
I just wanted to clean the heads so I could capture irreplaceable footage of my newborn. I couldn't do that purchasing this product. The camera (Panasonic) gave the message to click "reset" and also flashed the "no cassete" icon and wouldn't work.
I wish I read the other reviews before I purchased.
As others have said, it does not work with Sony cams. Message to reinsert tape. Will not "play" at all, so does not clean.
This product does not work for my JVC camcorder. I put it in and press play and it doesn't register as a proper cassette. I'm returning it tomorrow.
Sony DV camera will blink a warning to remove, you will not be able to run any sort of cleaning on your camera.

For some reason, the [...] HyperBRUSH MiniDV cleaner does not work with my Sony DCR-HC30 camera. The head cleaner fits, but my camera won?t ?play? it. It says ?re-insert cassette? and won?t recognize it when I push play. I wish the box had included a list of compatible cameras before I bought it...
