I purchased this kit a few years ago when I got my first soldering iron. After making a few attempts to use it, I gave up. The clip-on heat sink was quite useful, but most tasks requiring such things require more than one. The other tools weren't very useful. One probe is all that is needed to break a hot solder connection that flows over onto another connection, and a straightened out paper clip will work just as well. Once the solder has cooled, these tools are of no use. As far as desoldering is concerned, the brush could be handy, though I haven't tried it, since it doesn't appear to be reuseable. The other tools just move hot solder around without doing much to remove it. If you've got five dollars to burn, go ahead and get it, but it is by no means a "must have" kit.
