My main gripe, and it's fairly minor, is that the specifications on the Radio Shack web site say the length of this flashlight is 9 inches. It's actually about 5.5 inches.

I do think this light is heavier and and more expensive that some others that provide just as good light, but I like the on/off switch and the heavier light may be more durable though I don't actually know that. It feels like a good quality item and has very good quality, bright light output for a small flashlight.

A fair general-purpose all-around light

The V2 Triplex is a good general-purpose LED flashlight. A nice addition to the car glovebox, or a small toolbox, or just to have on hand in case of a power failure. It's obviously not designed or intended for professional, heavy-duty or tactical use, and there definitely are brighter LED flashlights and torches out there (Luxeon-based models spring into mind). But, in general purpose terms, this light is fairly well constructed.

Just an FYI, there are actually two different models of this flashlight cataloged under the same part number. The most common model is the one advertised on the website, it uses three N-size batteries, and gets good battery life. The other model (which is most likely an older design still found in some smaller and lower-traffic stores) uses a single AA-size battery, and although it has similar brightness, it also suffers from shorter runtime. If you are buying this in-store, make sure it is the model that uses the N-size batteries, this will help reduce the number of required battery changes.

All in all, I would recommend this for those who need a small LED flashlight for general use.

Pros:
Easy to use, Good performance, Good Value, Reliable

I was skeptical when I bought this, but the light is great and the batteries last forever. The best part was I dropped in a my toilet but the light kept working. I am impressed.

A nice bright light, but ...

Pros:
Easy to use, Good performance, Reliable

A nice bright light, but this flashlight is on the heavy side, especially in ratio to its size and compared to other flashlights. The "N" size batteries are becoming easier to find, so that's not really an issue.
