Battery tester
By tabledude from Arizona on 7/14/2008
Pros:
Easy to use, Versatile, Works well
Cons:
None
Best Uses:
Home
Describe Yourself:
Practical, Professional, Tech Savvy
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Primary use is to test AA/AAA batteries at home (alkaline and rechargeable). There are two leads coming out from back, but this is not an issue. Only issue is that rechargeable batteries are usually 1.2V and the setting on the meter is 1.5V (not a big deal, you will just never get the dial to read all the way to the right).

I bought this because I got tired of looking for my other tester. It might as well stay hidden! This unit works well, especially if you are used to using a multimeter. I like the fact you can check button cells with this; you do have to pay attention to where the dial is, but if that's my only issue, that's not bad!
