The banana jack compatibility of the probe tips make this set of leads very versatile. The fact that the spring clips mate to the banana style probe tips via the same banana style connection means that these leads can be reconfigured to handle just about any connection style I need to worry about. These are the ONLY leads I use with any multimeter.
The only drawback is that the spring clips are made such that they don't hold real well if the weight of the lead needs to "dangle" - the weight of the leads will disconnect the spring tip sometimes. This is common of many similar spring tips, though. The good thing is that a person can use a regular banana cord to connect in this case, (bypass the lead itself) if needed.
I bought this as an accessory to the Extech True RMS Multimeter. The cables are nice and flexible and the connectors seem solid. I haven't noticed much convenience from the multiple tips, since I still carry around a set of straight probes with their own cables (so I still have to carry two sets of cables). However, two sets is still better than 4...
The alligator clips and the mini grabbers are probably the most useful. The combo banana/pointy probes seem pretty iffy and using them in anything other than pass-through banana jacks quickly dulls the tips. Also the insulation on the alligator clips is way too bulky and makes connection to the cables more trouble than it should be.
