No, I would not recommend this to a friend
As with most Radio Shack parts the specs are lacking, used it in a 48 volt golf cart application and the wire insulation split away from the wire.
Worked for my application.

I used it to replace an amplifier fuse that had a 1 1/4 x 1/4 fuse holder that broke. I like it a lot better than the original fuse holder.
