once you figure out how to unscrew the 2 halfs, its a great product. some simple instructions would have been nice. Great for R/C use

I have found that this plug is easy to solder and so far it has held up to alot of use and abuse. My only suggestion is to be sure and let the plug cool down after soldering before screwing the cover back on.

I have not tried the product yet, but have soldered some speaker wire to it...here's the trick. I had to hold the very tip (the bulge part just spins and you make zero progress) tight and twist the plastic, eventually it unscrews. Then the wire fits nice in the hole that you can then heat and solder. DONT FORGET TO PUT THE PLASTIC PART ON YOUR WIRE FIRST!!!

These just end in a little hollow post of polished metal. what? I'm supposed to stick the wire in there with some solder on it and it's going to stay? worse than the crappy solderless ones.

Excellent item, these are made to be soldered in place. So if you're expecting the cheesy solder free ones, these aren't for you!
