HORRIBLE
By stan from nyc on 7/25/2008
Cons:
Wears Easily
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Holy cow! The pins SNAPPED off so easily. One of the pins were slightly bent when i took it out of the box, so I tried to bend it back into place, GENTLY I might add, and it snapped off. the pins are very flimsy and cheap. if you try to force it onto a board, it will snap. I am not using it on a PCB. I will be getting a new one elsewhere, the pins are horrible.

Mediocre Switch
By Electrical Engineering Student from Yucaipa, Ca on 7/10/2008
Cons:
Inconsistent Signal, Wears Easily
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The device itself is very flimsy and will easily rock back and forth in a breadboard. In addition to this annoyance, I found that as time went on (weeks at the most) the signals could not be guaranteed and had to be continuously pressed in a given state (I used toothpicks for this) to maintain the output. I do not recommend this product and would only buy this in desperation.

Still working 1 year later

Pros:
Consistent Performance, Rugged
Cons:
Housing slightly oversize
Best Uses:
Mallory Hyfire IV Ign Box, Race Cars
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I used it to replace a failed Rev Limiter Switch in the Mallory Hyfire IVc Ignition box on my drag race car. It is subjected to brutal vibration, heat, cold, humidity, electrical spikes. Has held up very well over the past year, I need another one for the other switch bank which is now failing. Only bad thing was the housing/body is wider than the OEM switch, so I had to cut a larger opening in the plastic switch overlay panel. Well worth the price!

The switch is very good, but it could be better if the pins were more durable.

Piece of trash, I've been working with electronics for years and I've never seen any pins so flimsy. I barely bent them to make them fit where needed and 3 instantly snapped off. Wouldn't recommend this at all!
