This relay is an exact replacement for the backup lamp relay in my 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan. I couldn't believe it when the new relay fit the socket on my van. I plan to buy several more to have on hand should other relays in my 15 year old vehicle start failing.
bought for business project and works great
I have been using these relays for years on my customers' cars where an upgraded fuel pump has been installed. I have only had one of these relays fail, and that's because the pumps demand exceeded the current rating of the relay. It has been a while since I have paid attention to the packaging, so I don't know if it's mentioned or not but these relays will not handle 30 amps continuous. The 30 amp rating is the "pull in" rating, or current inrush rating. The continuous rating, or "hold in" rating is about 10 amps. If you're using this relay in an application that runs 20 amps continuous, like those who are running these with high current accessory lights, they will fail quickly. Like mentioned before, if you need a relay to handle 20-30 amps continuous then you would want to look into a very high quality unit such as the bosch lighting relays.
Easy to use, just wished Radio shack sold a mating connector for further simplicity.
I used 2 of these in a headlight system that only uses draws approx 20amps. The relay FAILED in a few days! Highly disappointed for the price I've paid. I will definitely buy BOSCH instead.
Ive used these relays for a number of applications and they work great. The longest is for running 20A stock GM Elec. engine fans on my 60's musclecar. they seem to take being in a wet area ok so far. The relay mounting tab breaks easy, so be nice to it...

Using one of these relays to power two 150watt KC lights(300w total should be pulling 25amps)and contacts stick together sometimes, leaving the lights powered on longer than I want(not good, these lights are like turning on the sun). I'll be adding one more relay, One for each light. Hopefully that'll solve the problem.

Easy to use, but you better not push much power through it. I protected it with a 30-amp fuse in front of it in the circuit, and the relay blew with the fuse still intact, so this relay won't stand up to the 30-amps it claims.

Decent relay, but it's missing Pin 87a on the underside, which makes it useless for my needs.
