          Comments about RadioShack Memorex® Portable CD/AM/FM/Cassette Boombox:

          The radio plays really good and it has great sound too. The cassette player/recorder plays tapes good. However the fast forward and rewind buttons don't work well at all. This product was a great disappointment and its not worth the money at all.

          Comments about RadioShack Memorex® Portable CD/AM/FM/Cassette Boombox:

          When I saw this in a RadioShack, I thought it had good sound because of the silver air vents for the speakers at the bottom of the Boombox.

          After having bought and returned this, I am not impressed. However, I used it for my house and for a road trip, and it doesn't skip the cd.

          ========================
          Features
          ========================

          1) It came with a tape player, where the playback was fine, but the tapes I recorded on it had awful distortion and bad range.

          2) The boombox's speaker vents deceived me; they were only midrange and high range speakers.

          3) The battery life isn't great, but when the battery life was too low, the CD player part stopped reading disks. When I tried to get it to re-read the disk, the disk spun much faster than it normally did, and the reader froze. I had to turn it to tape or radio to switch it.

          4) The radio was analogue, not digital, and it didn't have many stations in either AM or FM.

          5) The boombox only had a line in, not a line out or a headphone jack.

          6)The Track Programming feature allows one to program the order of tracks to be played on audio cds, but on this one, only on audio cds, not mp3 cds.

          The only great feature is the cd player.

          ========================
          Physical Attributes
          ========================

          1) Weight: The boombox is very lightweight which is a good thing if you use it for travel or the outdoors.

          2) Style: The boombox's style is dated looking, like something from the early 2000's.

          3) Durability: I haven't experienced any problems handling the buttons, radio antenna, or the body itself, except the one I got had a piece of plastic rattling around the inside when I got it.

          ========================
          Conclusion
          ========================

          Don't buy this boombox, there are better options out there.

            Comments about RadioShack Memorex® Portable CD/AM/FM/Cassette Boombox:

            System NEEDS a remote, so I don't have to keep getting up. Needs a Continous Play button for the cassette area with an automatic stop after it plays both sides. My old systems had that before they broke and can't find anybody to fix them. Needs a CDRW Recording area. Still looking for the RIGHT Sound System.
