I have seen $20 radios that were better put together. Cobra messed up big time on this radio. Buy a Midland or Uniden, or even Motorola...more bang for your buck. For this price you can buy a milspec radio.

This item has many fine features, however when using VOX, and set to the higest sensitivity, it dosen't work if more than 3 or 4 inches from your mouth. Hands free operation such as placing it in a shirt pocket will not pick up your voice. Also volume when set to max. is very low when compared to other radios.
