I was looking for a video distributor for my car headrest monitors (2) and this is perfect. I thought of using Video and audio splitters, but this is just perfect as it has everything and neat look. The big selling part is 12V power input, and I could connect this to 12V source. If you are interested, the black with white stripes is +ve and solid black is -ve.

The Radio Shack on Market Street in San Francisco had this product on their shelf with an accompanying tag listed for [$]. The salesgirl, (who couldn't tell me anything about the product) rang it up and said "Oops, the actual price is [$]". I disagreed and showed her the price tag which clearly said [$]. She replied with "Oops, this is the new version of that same model, we don't actually have the the model which is [$]". It's the same product. and it had a [$] price tag and she refused to discuss it further, and no one else at that location could help me. She instantly switched the price tag in front of me and refused to even check to see if the [$] model was in stock .I've been shopping at Radio Shack for my entire life - i grew up being accustomed to people who actually knew about the products, and seeing an ACTUAL price tag with the product. I'm very disappointed, and seeing as i live on the same block as this RS store, i'll still go out of my way to go somewhere else in town with knowledgeable staff and true pricing information. I called the Radio Shack hotline, and there is no option to speak to Customer Service; the only concession they make is to visit the website. No Customer Service option here as well. -DS

I was in need of redoing a multi-tv install that was done to a vehicle I bought recently in which I didn't like anything they did the first time and was looking for a new redistribution device. I went to Radio Shack first and found the staff was easily able to point me to this device. The great part for automotive use is that it has a 12v DC power input which means you can use one of the 12v auxiliary adapters, cigarette lighter, and it works like a champ. I've since put an inline fuse and cut off the plug and have never had an issue. I can now play any video game console and plug in my iPhone or iTouch to play videos or audio as well. I haven't found a problem with it yet.

This actually has four separate video amps in it and you can feed video into any input independently. You could use the 'red' 'green' and 'blue' 'component' inputs for composite video if you needed. The composite video is also independent of the component video.

Ive been using our for over 3 years at this point. Looks great when split 4 ways even. Ive used some cheaper ones and had alot of issues with performance with that many outputs!!!! GIve this one a try for sure!!

I was planning on using the amplifier to ship a signal to my computer while playing a video game. Unfortunately the amplifier didn't work. The issue appeared to be with the power supply as the light that signified power never turned on even when signal was being sent and the device was plugged in. As a result there was no output and thus I was unable to enjoy possible applications of this product. I'm not sure whether the issue is a particular unit that is malfunctioning or if there is something more systematic.

Running 2 HDTV's from one component source and the quality is excellent. Just bought this today so I don't know about reliability. Great price, others were $20-50 more. Had to give this a shot. And glad I did.
