Used this charger One Time and it Fell Apart. Black top plastic top ring is still in the charging port. Will have to buy special pliers to remove from my charging port in my car. Will not buy from Radio Shack again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They would NOT give me refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst customer service in the world, purchased this item a few days over the thirty days return policy. When I saw it at a radio shack while I was on vacation I thought it was pricey but would probably be high quality. Came home to use it in my own car and it broke in my car lighter socket after the first use. Cheap plastic. Took it to the store, they would not do anything and went in the back office while I stood there for a half an hour tried calling the "how we are doing numbers" on the board one for Dan Gutierrez just rings and ring then beeps and the other one is a Nadia Hasting that goes to voice mail and she never calls you back. Absolute joke, with all the options online, I cant see this company staying in business much longer. Finally they offer to swap it for another one! Sorry I don't want your overpriced garbage. I want my money back!

Used occasionally to charge iPod/iPhone. Failed after being used about a dozen times. Checked the surface mount fuse but it appears to be okay. Cannot fix without schematic.

I bought one of these and it broke two weeks later. I returned it to radio shack and they replaced it. Two weeks later the replacement busted. This product sucks! I didnt want to give it any stars but by default I had to give it one. Do not buy it!

I've bought two of these car chargers in last year. Latest purchase was March 2012, and when I returned to Radio shack I was told that they would not return or give me credit passed my 30 day purchase. Do not buy.

Worked fine for 5 months, then quit charging. Green light indicates power in, but no power out of the cable. Same cable works fine in a different charger. Opened it up to look for blown fuse, device has no fuse.

Well, the title says it all. First it worked as expected (charging my phone), but when I tried to charge my navigation system and my mp3 player it fried both. When I returned it to Radioshack the guy at the counter opened the adapter and found that it doesn't even have a fuse inside - this thing is so cheaply built it's actually expensive for [$].You probably want to spend 5 bucks more to save you a lot of trouble.

This item was recommended on a forum as an adapter for a USB passthrough (for e-cigs) while driving. It works very reliably, and it saves on batteries. I've passed the recommendation on to others.

This cheap adapter cost me 2 older Ipods. It is putting out 10 volts on the 5 volt circuit. Lucky it didn't kill my phone before I realized the problem.
