    May not work with HDTV's

    About Me Quality Oriented

    Verified Reviewer

    Pros

    • Extends 10'
    • Strong Connection Points

    Cons

    • Does not support DDC
    • Does not support EDID
    • May not work with HDTV

    Best Uses

    • Computer Equipment

Comments about Gigaware RadioShack® 10-Ft. SVGA Extension Cable:

Bought this so I could put my home-theatre PC further from the 61" TV. Turns out that the extender does not pass the display data channel (DDC) properly, so the PC can't determine the supported resolution of the TV, and won't allow resolution above 1280x1024. Had the same result when using this extender with multiple VGA cables. If you are looking for something to use in connecting to newer model HDTV's, I'd recommend 1) buying a longer cable rather than extending the existing one, or 2) finding a better VGA extender.
