Comments about AUVIO™ Stereo Wireless Headphones:

I am retired and have some hearing loss so I need to crank up the volume (TV mainly) much louder than my wife can tolerate. My wife bought these for me and they worked great for a while, but I found the headphone padding too stiff to be really comfortable. Then after about 30 days, "snap" the adjustable area of the left side broke, causing the ear phone to dangle by the wires. I returned the headphones to Radio Shack and at first they said it was caused by abuse..right. Anyway I asked for the manager and they replaced the headphones (these for some reason had softer padding), however the replacement warranty time frame was not reset, so if it broke again I would have to deal with the product warranty rather than the Radio Shack 30 day return.

Anyway, about 2 months later "snap" again; same place. Since I really liked the headphones, but realized no matter how careful I was they were going to break, I decided to repair them instead. I cut up a large hose clamp and epoxied pieces of the hose clamp on both sides of the broken area as a splint and it worked very well; I then did the same thing on the unbroken side. The headphones don't adjust anymore but I have a big head so it no big deal. In closing buyer beware; it's not if there headphones will break it's when. Other than that the range is much better than other wireless headphones I have used.

Comments about AUVIO™ Stereo Wireless Headphones:

This is the 3rd set I have had. The first one the sound went bad and returned for a new one. The second one, construction fell apart on earphones within 90 days and had to purchase new one and get a gift card from Radio Shack instead of refund. Bought extra warranty on both of these. Third set is 4 weeks old and wiring is exposed and headphones are hanging, plastic broken open (poor quality of materials) and will be returning this week. Not happy that I will have to get another Radio Shack giftcard as we do not have any use for these but they offer no alternatives. Previously they carried another brand which was more expensive but lasted 1 year for me.

Comments about AUVIO™ Stereo Wireless Headphones:

I bought this for my wife and I to use on a noisy treadmill and so far so good after ust two weeks. The initial set up was easy and worked without fuss as soon as I put the first set of standard batteries in. No static noise (from my environment anyways).

The headset stays on on while working out (not running very fast - maybe a 4.x of treadmill speed).

It's still early to say but glad it's working this well out of the box. hope I dont have to come back and edit this comment and get nasty :-(

Comments about AUVIO™ Stereo Wireless Headphones:

I use these for listening to music from my PC while working.

Midrange is a bit stronger than I like, but I can correct that with a software equalizer. After listening for a few minutes, I don't really notice.

What I do notice are the background hiss, pops, and occasional surges in volume. It's 2013... why are we still using analog RF transmission?

The ear pieces are shaped decently, but put too much pressure on my ears, and it becomes uncomfortable before long.

Comments about AUVIO™ Stereo Wireless Headphones:

Excessive bass. I use them to listen to the television, straight from the cable box. The Bass is so excessive that I installed a preamplifier and turned the bass to minimum to get reasonable sound. The do sound great now. Range is excellent.

Comments about AUVIO™ Stereo Wireless Headphones:

I purchased my Auvio wireless headphones about 1 month ago. The sound is terrific and was easily hooked up. My issue is that the earphone swivels are poorly constructed of cheap plastic and break easily. I'm am not a person who treats equipment roughly but this unit is extremely fragile. I have repaired the swivels several times with super glue but then it breaks again in another place. I give up!!! I'll get something else

Comments about AUVIO™ Stereo Wireless Headphones:

I gave this to my sweetheart as a Valentine's Day present so that he can listen to his music and news from our computer which is across the room. I was a little skeptical about how comfortable they would be if he fell asleep wearing them but they seem to be okay because he was sound asleep with them on his head when I went into the bedroom to go to bed myself.

        Best Uses

Comments about AUVIO™ Stereo Wireless Headphones:

I have used RCA, Sony, Radio Shack,Optimus(sp?) and JVC(really bad). Battery changing is easy (on JVC's, you must twist off the muffs)and you can use other brands of NIMH batts without problems (are you listenibg JVC?). The volume control gives the extra oomph for us with bad hearing. While this does require three batteries, I have used this headphone for twelve plus hours of constant use without need for recharge. These headphones are not the most comfortable, but I would still take these over any others.
