She bats at it constantly, and tries to pick it up in her mouth like she would a mouse, but the thing vibrates too much for her to carry it off. Excellently frustrating! They play with them every day before going to school and again when they get home. I purchased a kit with 5 HEXBUGS and a habitat at BJ's. I then added another habitat from a local Radio Shack store that had 1 bug and a two story habitat that can be customized. I also have the same setup for myself. The glow in the dark bugs are the girls and my favorites. we now have 15 bugs between us. We have both halloween bugs with caskets and the christmas reindeer bugs. I gave it to a four-year-old boy and it ended up being a big hit on Christmas Eve. The boy had a blast playing with it--putting it on, and in, different items (a plate, a box, etc.) and putting obstacles in its path to watch it frantically find its way around them. The kids and the adults were fascinated by this little critter. At [$] it is worth much more in entertainment value. I plan to get several more for other kids in the family for next Christmas. The only downside, which should still not be a deterrent to purchasing the toy, is that is uses watch batteries (of course, because it is so small) which tend to be pricey.
