My Skyrocket stopped being able to charge batteries though the rest of the phone works just fine. I went into Radio Shack here on St Thomas in the Virgin Islands and bought the universal charger. It is a bit clunky to get the terminals to line up with your battery (hence all the reviews of people who couldn't get it to work). My guess is their problem solving skills are next to zero. I have been cycling batteries through it for the past month and I am much happier with my phone now that I never have to plug it in just snap in a fully charged battery and go. I also really like being able to take a fully charged phone and fully charged backup battery out when I know I'm going to be using my phone heavily.

I bought this while from Radio Shack on vacation after forgetting my camera charger. After figuring out how to use it properly (this is what I think most people that reviewed negatively don't do) it works for ANY battery I have thrown at it!
I have a 2nd battery for almost everything, camcorder, dslr, cell phone, compact digicam, etc and this thing will charge them ALL! Not only does it plug into a standard wall outlet, it comes with a car lighter plug! Now I can bring this charger and 1 microUSB for everything that needs charging while I travel! Love it!
I think with all the negative reviews that people don't understand how to move the sliders with the included tool, it's really not that hard!

They way you have to use this is so awkward to begin with, then after just 1 time of using it, it broke. The little flimsy spring in it broke and since it was past the 30 days by 5 days, Radio Shack wouldn't honor any refund. I will never, ever buy anything from Radio Shack again. I will be surprised if they post this comment.

Needed a charger to have one battery charged because I work a lot in the field. Worked fine initially however the charger prongs are flimsy and broke after two uses. As of 11/1/12 (week after purchase) RadioShack will not allow a return. I talked to multiple customer care reps and their claim was "we would only allow returns if it didn't work upon the initial use" Which is outrageous due to the unit having moving parts, my guess it must be a shift in RadioShack tightening the screws on returns, even for obviously defective parts and mechanisms. Buyer beware! Purchased at the St. Anthony Village, MN store.

Lost your camera or cell phone charger? This charger will solve that.

I purchased a Nikon DSLR from Radioshack, it was a display model with a missing charger so I was given this charger in place of it. I find that it works great, charges all of my gadgets batteries and comes with a car adapter. It works for many types of rechargeable batteries as well.

The one thing I do not really like about this charger are the little metal things you have to move around with the stylus they give you with it. I quickly lost the stylus and moving the contacts to match my battery has a been a pain since.

A great feature of this battery is the auto polarity detection. You can insert a battery the wrong way and the charger will still safely charge it.

I'm not sure it is worth the asking price but I am glad that I own one.

I need a charger for my cell phone because my charging port got damaged. I purchased a warranty needless to say i had to turn it with in a month after i brought it. The little prongs dont stay in place and are very easy to pop out. Once the prongs are popped out there is nothing you can do. I am now on my third 1 and have to return it tommorrow with the same problem. I would have done better buying a new phone.

Was on vacation and both cameras (different makes and batteries) needed a charge. Found Radio Shack and purchased this product. It worked better than I expected. Once you figure out how to line up the prongs, the charging gets under way. So far so good. It is a versatile charger.

Used it about 3 times . Started having problems with the light coming on. The power cord connection at the charger did not make a good connection. Had to press hard on the wire for the red light to go on. Once pressure was released, the light would go out. Cannot use it to charge batteries now.

I purchased this for a camera before a trip. I got one charge out of it! Needless to say, didnt get a lot of pictures! I can understand if this was meant to be a one time throw away charger but not for [$]... Save your money or spend it elsewhere as this item is terrible! The only reason I rated it at one star is because I HAD to rate it. It wouldnt let me leave that field blank.
