These have great sound and zero static. Good range. Best set I have owned. I plugged mine into the audio out on my cable box (DVR) and they work great. I don't understand all the negative comments? I bought the $7.00 two year warranty on these as all wireless headphone are very fragile. I never buy a warranty buy this is an exception.

I turned on the headphones without the wireless IR connector turned on and the static was so loud my co-workers were wondering what I was listening to. When I turned on the wireless IR the static lower a little, but it was still there.
When I plugged in my MP3 player I heard more static than audio. I was about 2 feet away from the base.
The headphones are comfortable, but the sound quality is awful. I can not listen to these all day, the static is maddening.

In addition to the transmitter that came with the headphone I'm using the transmitter from other headphone that broke and that works great. This way I can use these headphone on different TV and computers

Main use WAS for listening to the TV. Not a bad product for that, but way to big of ear phone to lie down and they get real sweaty

Here's what you want to know...they work. They do not work well. The 30 ft range is a joke; I am literally less than 7 feet from my tv (which is why I bought them, to watch tv at night without disturbing others) and I get a crazy amount of static for such a short range. If you absolutely can not spend more on wireless headphones...then these will do. But again, they will not "do" well. If you can get past the static, the sound is actually not too bad or if you will literally be a few feet from your tv, the sound is highly tolerable. But my advice...find a way to add another 20 or 40 bucks to your budget and get ones that are of a better quality than a high school science project. Also, if you want these to be rechargeable...get rechargeable batteries. I really should have done a little more homework on these. You actually have to load two AAA batteries in the headset. They do not have an integrated battery pack like other units in this category. Bottom line, these are like the duct tape of wireless headphones. They'll do in a pinch...but you're gonna want to get something better as soon as possible.

I Actually used this on my pad works great? You can even hook it up to your tv and watch a movie with it.

The quality of sound was fine, but the line-of-sight limitation causes heavy static if you move even slightly out of range. The left side of the headphones broke after only 9 months use, so I had to hold the headphones in both hands in order to use them. A major problem! I had to replace them with something more durable (and comfortable).

I am hard of hearing and this product is very helpful for clarification. Plus when my husband is sleeping I can still watch my programs without waking him. I bought this product a year ago and recently bought a 2nd set for another room in my home. Love it!
