The only reasonable explaination can be - a bad batch of devices. Unfortunately, I got one (make that 2) that doesn't work - no audio or video. Easy to configure, and great concept. Must be a bad batch of devices purchased and delivered to RS. Easy to install, truly is a no-brianiner, but just doesn't work. Seems like there may be a compatability issue with some devices. Beware of this product - I will check in with the Auvio tech support group first, but will most likely have to return this second one too.

As with many of the other reviews, I could get video but no audio (except from my Apple TV box for some reason). Took the first unit back and RS gave me a new one - same result.

Not sure what the problem was for the one star reviews. Mine worked right out of the box. Easy set up. Connected XBox, FIOS box, and Bluray. Sound and video are perfect. Better value than a similar product at two other retailers. Definitely worth a shot. You can take it back to Radio Shack (with all packaging)within 30 days if you're not happy. Only downside is the autodetect works if only one input is turned on at the time,so manual or remote switching is necessary. Remote is tiny and very loseable.

Wanted to switch between HD TV & HD DVD player. First unit would not work properly...so I swapped it for a second unit. Same problems. Sometimes it would switch and sometimes it would not, Sometimes it would accomplish the switch, but it could take up to a minute to do it. With the second unit even the remote stopped working after about 1 hour. Returned it for full credit. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME.

Blu Ray, sound bar, Uverse STB work just fine through this contraption. Not sure why it gets such bad reviews. Took about 15 min to configure, after realizing we had a bad HDMI cable. Got rid of the bad cable and it works perfectly. Sorry to all of those who didn't get it working, not sure what was done differently but all I can say is; don't go by the reviews of the product. Use the instruction manual and use new HDMI cords and it will work as advertised.

Just like everyone else, there is no audio. I have all new Auvio wires with a brand new Samsung TV and it still doesn't work. I'm bringing the piece of junk back.

Wasn't sure if this would work since all of the negative reviews but decided to try it anyway. Works great with my LG blu-ray 3d player, Wii U and Digital cable.

Count me in with those for whom this doesn't work. AppleTV came through fine. Nothing with Dish 722 box. Black screen; no video or audio. Changed all the cables around, same thing. Bypassed the Auvio switch and all worked fine when directly connected to the TV. It's going back in the morning.

I have 4 reasonably new HDMI components but only one HDMI input on the TV. The picture reproduction using the Selector Box is good, but have not been able to get sound. When the TV is patched in directly to the components, we have sound. As soon as the selector box is put in line, the sound goes away. All devices have been set to respond to HDMI signal. Only reasonable conclusion is that the selector box is not handling the hand-shake correctly. Too bad; I have purchased many great items from Radio Shack. This is not one of them.
