Instructions read "drill a 3/32" hole" which is OBVIOUSLY incorrect. It's a 1 & 3/32" hole, but any idiot can figure that out.

Thing worked perfectly with kit.

Consider a slightly more expensive version with much longer wires. I want to install one in the back of my truck and am going to have to make my own wires to do it.

About the incorrect instructions: It should read 1 3/32 (one and three thirty-seconds inch)...
NOT 13/32 (thirteen thirty-seconds)...
use your head. With that piece of info in mind, this was a snap to install in my RV.

Mounted these on all three of our motorcycles to power our Droids while on long rides. They're small and the mounting bracket makes it easy to either use double sided tape or epoxy to mount. The only thing that could make this product better would be a bit longer wires to make it easier to connect directly to the battery as opposed to finding a hot wire inside the fairing or adding my own wire to get the length I need.

To those reviews about the bad instructions: If you really need instructions to do something like this then perhaps you'd be better off paying someone else to do it rather than try and do it yourself.

The directions on this product for mounting it in the dash state: "1. Drill a 13/32" (2.8cm) diameter hole through the selected mounting surface."

13/32" is 3/8". This product is more or less, a cigarette lighter socket. If you drill a 13/32" hole in your dash and attempt to install this outlet through that hole you will find that the hole you just put in your dash is half as big as it should be. The 2.8cm hole is what should be drilled which is a little larger than an inch. Good luck trying to enlarge a 3/8" hole to 1".

This product works great. It can be a hasle to find a wire that is hot and to be able to get to the wire for installation. Recommend help by a local mechanic or audio shop.
