not right

Comments about Enercell® 1-Outlet Wall Surge Protector:

Not really a replacement for the 61000402. It has only electrical protection and no phone line protection.

Comments about Enercell® 1-Outlet Wall Surge Protector:

This single outlet model is perfect for what I want; the design is fine, and the protective "cover" for the plugs, i.e., the prongs and the rounded part, is an added bonus, to protect them when not in use. Too bad someone wouldn't sell them for use with other three plug adapters.

      Good enough, I guess...

Comments about Enercell® 1-Outlet Wall Surge Protector:

I bought this surge protector as a gift for my technically challenged mother, to use with her brand new laptop. Because of how bulky this surge protector is, it mostly is not possible to plug anything else into any standard two outlet wall socket where this device is plugged in. One other interesting detail that I have noticed is that because this surge protector is white, and my mother's laptop's power cord is black, she is more likely to unplug her laptop's power cord from the surge protector, rather than unplugging the surge protector from the wall. With my mother's old laptop both her old laptop's power cord, and the surge protector were black, with most electrical outlets being white or tan, so this was not anywhere near as much of a problem. (Mom's old black surge protector is also smaller.) It actually has reached the point where I am thinking about going online to see if I can special order a black surge protector for my mother.
