I work on a pipeline in rural area where dust is plentiful. It is used on a daily basis, many times for 4 or more hours/day. Prior to buying this I was burning up these small inverters on a regular basis due to mainly starting up my truck without disconnecting the inverter and laptop before starting. I have also burnt the power supplies(laptop) up with the other inverters which is way expensive. This inverter has not failed me once, nor has it damaged any equipment hooked to it. The only reason I need another is that the bearings on the fan are getting extra noisy and starting to lock up once in a while. The fan does have constant noise but its something I can tolerate knowing my equipment is safe(and its not any worse than others). Owned over 2 years.

I purchased this product prior to leaving to ride in the Registers Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) and used it to charge several different models of cell phones, digital camera batteries and laptops. It worked well and I couldn't be more pleased with my investment in the product.

Once a week I take my office to the field. I tried another inverter but it didnot fit in the tight spot where the cig.lighter spot is, and another was not powerful enough. This one has lasted 1.5 years so far and shows no problems. I power my laptop with the AC jack, my GPS with the cig.lighter jack, and charge my cell phone with the USB. It has a fuse built in that has never blown, but it makes me feel safer plugging all my expensive stuff into it. The cooling fan inside is audible, but not so much it bothers me. I highly recommend this product. I wrote this review because I happened to look this up while referring a coworker to it.

Purchased product for travel and other than it being a bit bulky and have to pull out the device to put the car I was driving in park. It worked great for my needs. Kept my Iphone charged and GPS without any problems.

I need my electronics at full power when I arrive at each stop. I love that they're ready when I am!
I don't know how quiet some people want, but my A/C fan drowned out this inverter's fan.
Considering you can power 3 items at once, the size is a big plus! How small do you want it to be? I didn't receive it as a gift, but my husband is going to!

I just bought this today, and used it to power my Garmin GPS. It worked fine, the only problem was the constant noise from the internal fan. .

I bought this to power a small laptop. It did this OK, but there is a noisy fan that is ALWAYS ON even with nothing plugged in. I suppose this extends the life of the internal electronics, but since in my vehicle the only plug is close to the driver the fan noise made it unacceptable, so I returned it. If you have an auxiliary outlet in the back where the noise won't be too bothersome then this would be OK.
