Best Uses Comments about Enercell™ 12V/10A Solderless Vehicle Adapter Plug: The wires are attached by inserting them into a spring loaded plunger. The spring force is not adequate to maintain reliable pressure and hence connectivity. My application was in a vehicle that had lots of vibrations.

Comments about Enercell™ 12V/10A Solderless Vehicle Adapter Plug: Easy to instal 10 minutes. Works great. Cannot find anything bad. Installed properly it will work great. When plugging in and out do not pull on the wires to unplug, use the case of unit. If the wires are put in properly they will be tight and will not give you any problems.

Comments about Enercell™ 12V/10A Solderless Vehicle Adapter Plug: Unlike other reviewers, I have had no trouble with this. I have a similar plug (with Radio Shack label instead of Enercell) that I've used for years on the end of a CB radio power lead. It, too, uses spring-loaded connections, but I've never once had a wire "fall out." If you unplug it by yanking on the wire, yes, the wire will probably come out. Otherwise, the wire remains in place and has yet to come loose. I also applied the new plug to another CB radio power lead, with similar results. It took all of 60 seconds to attach to the power lead, and works as advertised. Perhaps the difference is that the power leads I'm using have thicker wires than those of other reviewers. There were two versions of this plug in the store, one with an easily-accessible fuse on the side of the plug. I recommend that one.
Comments about Enercell™ 12V/10A Solderless Vehicle Adapter Plug: I looked everywhere including Enercell"s site but cannot find info or figure out how to access the fuse...for that matter, even determine if there is a fuse. So...throw it away if the fuse blows? Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Enercell™ 12V/10A Solderless Vehicle Adapter Plug: Wires easily pulled out of cheap spring clamp connectore. I have stayed away from Radio Shack for years because of this kind of quality.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Enercell™ 12V/10A Solderless Vehicle Adapter Plug: Needless to say, I was surprised upon opening the package that it used a compression method of connection. But I decided I had no choice but to go ahead and use it.

Best Uses Comments about Enercell™ 12V/10A Solderless Vehicle Adapter Plug: Doesn't grasp the wires - they slip right back out again. Stupid design - use a proper screw, not a friction grip. Complete waste of money.

Comments about Enercell™ 12V/10A Solderless Vehicle Adapter Plug: Had to do a quick repair job on a piece of our sewer televising equipment, this worked great and only took 5 minutes to make the repair.
