Comments about RadioShack® Talking Watch with 4 Alarms: Wanted a digital watch with easy to read time , date and day. This has it all without the high cost. Easy to set all of the functions. Just press a button to see month and day. Press again and view year. it's set to view time and date (two first letters.) crisp and clear. Might be thick for some people. Strap is fairly comfortable for all day use, even to wear at night. it does not have a light. You can even set it to "talk" give you the time with clear voice. It's light weight which is a huge plus. Not an elegant look, but casual compared to some sport watches that are big with so many functions that I cannot use nor set them in order to use them. I currently have this watch for about a year no complaints.

Comments about RadioShack® Talking Watch with 4 Alarms: Despite an engineering degree and an MBA, I was unable to correctly set-up the watch. The Radio Shack help line was of no value.

Comments about RadioShack® Talking Watch with 4 Alarms: I wear it everyday. The hourly report has saved me at meetings several times. The digital display is easy to read and the sound is clear. The quality of the band ruins the integrity of the watch. The plastic buckle tine bent so I had it replaced. Then the band started to crack and break at the hole locations. The website does not offer a way to get the replacement band and I'm not sure if a jewelry store will be able to get one. The watch should have a better band. I would recommend the watch with a warning about the band.

Comments about RadioShack® Talking Watch with 4 Alarms: I don't know why Radio Shack changed the stile and or brand from the one that they had several years ago. I have been buying this watch for several years. The first one that I got was $[$] and lasted me about 2 or 3 years. This new design I'm lucky if it lasts 1 year. Mostly because of the band that keeps drying out, getting hard and breaking. I GUESS THAT'S WHAT Radio Shack WANTS. So you have to buy more. Pros

Comments about RadioShack® Talking Watch with 4 Alarms: I gave this watch to an elderly, vision-impaired relative. It has been reliably announcing the time on the hour ever since without needing a new battery. She can also press a button to find out the current time. It was much less expensive than other talking watches I looked at. I would have given it 5 stars, but it is fairly unattractive for a woman.
Comments about RadioShack® Talking Watch with 4 Alarms: Clarification on my review: You can turn off the voice for time/date but not for the stopwatch. It gives minute count at various intervals and then at hour points--depending on length of event. Turn-off option would be nice, but I guess this is "a talking watch" afterall. Pros

Comments about RadioShack® Talking Watch with 4 Alarms: No this isn't a stylish watch (though some may like its look) nor one that may be able to take a licking in the wild or on a construction site (but it's not wimpy) nor a high end audio sophisticated and touch refined unit that will please all hard of sight--but it does speak and I at least have no problem understanding it and pushing its buttons--but I am sighted. The alarms are great; the talking neat and sometimes handy. The operation takes a bit of learning but if you study the comprehensive manual it will become clear--and unlike the comment of one reviewer you can turn off the voice function. I can't give a judgement of long-term life but so far it shows no sign of a problem. And yeah you need a tiny screwdriver to change the battery--a tool many tech items may now require. There is a lot of useful tech in this only [$] unit. It does what it promises in a useful, low-cost way--in my opinion. In my opinion, again, I think some of the negative reviewers are unrealistically expecting too much. Now if it breaks down in a couple of months I will feel used. But so far very happy with unit and what I paid for it.

Comments about RadioShack® Talking Watch with 4 Alarms: I keep the hourly reminder on all the time. I think the first and last spoken times of 6 and 10 are perfect for me. I can understand the voice, it is not too soft as some say. Nor mumbled. The only thing I am not happy about is the fact that the band broke recently. I don't know whether to replace it or buy a new watch. What do watch bands cost for that watch?

Comments about RadioShack® Talking Watch with 4 Alarms: My son is blind and is on his third (soon to be fourth) watch of this style. He loves the watch, but the band is HORRIBLE! We purchased the warranty on the last two, but I don't think we'll pay the extra again. It's just not worth the hassle and inconvenience of waiting on the gift card to replace the watch...I'm positive the band will break again. We will shop LS&S or MaxiAids next time.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about RadioShack® Talking Watch with 4 Alarms: I bought this for my father who is blind. There were to many buttons that if pushed by accident, would make it hard for a blind person to get back to the time setting. The strap is very uncomfortable and the voice is very hard to understand.
