I have been using 4 enercell alkaline AA batteries in a vintage 1978 radioshack realistic CTR 39 cassette player/recorder and i have been playing it quite a bit and i have yet to run down one set of batteries yet. Enercell alkalines were always good in the past and there still good today. Thanks radioshack for a great product!

thought i'd try them because RS was handy. after using them, i'd rank coppertops and everready as lasting longer and costing less

I was told these are comperable to deracell but are not! They didn't even last 3 weeks in my children's toy!!!!!!!!! I would not buy this piece of garbage. Save your money!

The price was okay. I bought 4 packs of enercell at my local "radio shack". What a mistake! why I gave them another try, I don't know. The D series batt.I got lasted 2 days in my LED flashlight, And the AA series batt. lasted 1 week in my remote. If u are going to sell TRASH PRODUCTS just write it on the lable so we know what to expect! Your product and "radio shack" are nothing more than a NAME! Too bad you missed the QUALITY. "TRASH SHACK" should be the name!!!!!!
I want my money back! I have TRASH at home I can have for FREE!!!! WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW AND BLOG TO "NOT TO BY THIS BRAND".

Used these batteries for everything. Especially cd player and walkman (yes, I'm one of the few that still have one). It is second (behind duracell). I buy bulk and when it goes on sale. It lasts longer than any battery I've used (not counting duracell). Do yourself a favor and buy these. Reasonable for the price. Please Radio Shack do not discontinue this product.

Just wanted to mention - read what type of AA your product requires prior to purchase. I got a great clock because it didn't work for someone else - they thought it was broken. Turns out they were using 1.2v AA batteries in it. It requires 1.5v AA, which only select stores like Radioshack still carry! Most manufacturers are now switching to 1.2v (standard rechargeable) - but look for it, especially when buying used and making a decision. I generally use rechargeables, so this is a hassle to buy. Nothing against RadioShack! Glad they still carry it for my sake!
